Dr. Zhu maintains a selective private practice for advanced students and high-profile clients.

Dr. Zhu Assistant Professor of Music at Pierce College and is the chair of Music Production, Theory and Composition the Pasadena Conservatory of Music.
He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Music degree from New England Conservatory.
Dr. Zhu has been a featured presenter at Music Teacher’s National Association (MTNA) and California Association of Professional Music Teacher (CAPMT) conferences, and has published articles in prominent musical publications. Recent guest lecture engagements include Tsinghua University (清华大学) and Beihang University (北京航空航天大学) in Beijing.
Admission to Dr. Zhu’s studio is competitive and based on an interview and trial lesson. His students have gone on to attend top-level universities, including New England Conservatory, Columbia University, Princeton University, MIT, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cal Arts, and USC.
